Majid Hussain

Majid Hussain is a PhD candidate in petroleum engineering at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, specializing in CO₂ storage, CCUS, and reservoir simulation. His research focuses on CO₂ plume migration, trapping mechanisms, wettability effects, and pressure management using numerical simulation and data-driven methods. He has authored and coauthored multiple journal and conference papers, serves as a peer reviewer for leading energy journals, and has been recognized through research awards, invited expert sessions, and a funded visiting scholar appointment at the Shanghai Advanced Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
