Finalists of the 35th Offshore Achievement Award (OAA) organized by SPE Aberdeen Section have been announced. The OAA rewards innovative technologies introduced by both small and large companies, as well as significant contributions of individuals within the offshore energy industry. The awards are open to all UK-registered companies involved in offshore engineering activity, which means it is not limited to oil and gas players only but also to renewable firms. The OAA acknowledges the achievements across the energy sector and exceptional business growth toward innovation.
During this year’s edition of the OAA, the Aberdeen Section introduced two new categories in response to the emerging topics promoted by the SPE: "Diversity & Inclusion" and "Digital Innovation." The Diversity & Inclusion Award will look for evidence of development and implementation of effective policies, systems, and best practices supporting and promoting diversity and inclusion with practical impact at all levels within an organization. The Digital Innovation Award will seek to recognize innovative and effective use of digital technologies in the offshore energy sector.
The 35th OAA selection received record number of nominations in all categories. A total of 31 finalists were selected to compete within the nine different categories. The list of awards and finalists is as follows:
