Carbon Management Canada has introduced the TACTILE program (Talent Acceleration and Career Training in Low-Carbon Energy) to train more than 1,200 workers across Canada for careers in carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS).

Delivered in partnership with the University of Calgary, Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, and geoLOGIC Systems, the 3-year program offers hybrid training, combining classroom, online, and onsite field experience.

Supported by the Government of Canada’s Sustainable Jobs Training Fund, TACTILE aims to

  • Upskill workers with in-demand CCUS skills.
  • Build an ecosystem linking industry, education, and community groups.
  • Create a trained talent pool ready to meet labor demand in the low-carbon energy sector.

“Through the TACTILE program, over a thousand Canadians receive training and upskilling, closing the clean energy skills gap. By partnering with top educational institutions and industry experts, the program equips workers with the expertise to drive innovation in CCUS and other clean energy technologies, supporting a sustainable economy and protecting the environment for generations to come,” said Patty Hajdu, Minister of Jobs and Families.
