Saipem has introduced a new drilling training center designed to help develop technical skills. The training hub includes a full-scale simulator designed to replicate real operational scenarios to deliver an immersive experience.
The simulator features a 24-screen display that recreates the look and feel of an actual offshore drilling rig. The control seats use the same interfaces and systems found on real rigs. Using advanced modeling, the simulator replicates well conditions and offshore drilling dynamics, especially for deepwater operations, to support realistic and safe training.
The center also offers courses accredited by the International Well Control Forum, which will issue essential certifications for key personnel working on drilling rigs.
