Ganesh Thakur

Ganesh Thakur, a member of the US National Academy of Engineering, is director of Energy Industry Partnerships and Distinguished Professor of petroleum engineering at the University of Houston. He serves as the chief advisor of GeoPark. During a career with Chevron for 37 years, he served as VP, global advisor, and Fellow. Thakur served as 2012 SPE President and president of SPE Foundation from 2019 to 2021. He is currently treasurer of Texas Academy of Medicine, Engineering & Science of Texas. He has been elected as a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors.
