Corporate women in the UAE will now have the opportunity to join a new membership-based networking community designed specifically for women.

NOORA, the product of a partnership between Aurora50, Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC (TAQA), Accenture, Emirates Global Aluminum (EGA), Emirates Group, and ENOC launched in early August. The networking community allows women to join one of two levels based on their career level—the “lobby” which is geared toward first-time managers and the “mezzanine” for established managers.

The motivation to create the community came from UAE’s efforts to achieve 30% women’s representation in leadership roles.

“We are delighted to launch NOORA with such influential and committed founding partners. Together we are forming a real-world community for like-minded and ambitious women. Research shows women climb the career ladder faster when they have a strong network. But no networks have existed in the UAE for the ambitious corporate career woman until now. Members will also be given opportunities to lead collaborations and solve industry challenges. Women will lead with impact,” Diana Wilde, co-founder of Aurora50, said in a press release.
