The SPE Africa Region, in collaboration with the SPE Africa Data Science & Engineering Analytics Technical Section and the SPE Geothermal Technical Section, invite students and young professionals to participate in this year’s SPE Africa Datathon, which will focus on geothermal energy.
Competition Process
- Participants will be required to form teams of 3 to 5 members, and are then provided with a challenge, a data set, and relevant learning resources.
- Based on the data set and their expertise, they will be required to find a unique and creative solution to the challenge provided within the time provided.
- Once the team’s submission is made, it will be reviewed and ranked by the judges.
- The top teams will present their solutions during the SPE Africa Annual Students Congress, 22–24 July, in Nairobi, Kenya, with subsequent awards.
