Universidade Federal Do Rio De Janeiro and IFP School came in second and third place, respectively.

Salman Alrasheed took first place in the undergraduate category with Azza Khalifa Abdullah Mundher Al Mandhri and Issac Jayachandran securing victory for the master's and PhD categories, respectively.

SPE Africa's first Beyond the Borders program, held during the 2025 Nigeria Annual International Conference and Exhibition in Lagos, brought together young professionals from seven African countries to foster collaboration, leadership, and professional growth.

The fifth edition of the SPE Europe Energy GeoHackathon, beginning on 1 October, focuses on how data science can advance geothermal energy and drive the energy transition.

Twenty-eight young professionals from 11 SPE sections attended the 4-day event as part of SPE Germany Section's Beyond the Borders (BtB) event.

Students and young professionals gathered in late May for the 2025 Latin America and the Caribbean Student Symposium for 2 days of programs including the PetroBowl regional qualifiers, student sessions, roundtable discussions with companies, and more.

Final-year undergraduate students in science, geoscience, and engineering from across Asia are invited to apply to participate in an industry-focused program. The deadline to apply is 15 August 2025.

Organized by YPs for YPs, this initiative offers a safe and inspiring space where learning meets leadership, and where the future of energy is not only discussed, but co-created.

The 3-day event was organized by the SPE German Section and its associated student chapters including SPE University of Clausthal (TU) Student Chapter.
