Eighteen SPE student chapters across the world have won the 2019 Presidential Award for Outstanding Student Chapter. The award recognizes chapters whose programs, activities, and levels of participation distinguish them from other chapters. Formerly known as the Outstanding Student Chapter Award, this top award now recognizes the highest-ranked 5% of eligible student chapters that are exemplary in the scoring categories, as opposed to 10% in previous years.

The Presidential Award for Outstanding Student Chapters will be presented to the winning chapters during the Student Awards Luncheon at the 2019 SPE ATCE to be held 30 September–2 October in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The Excellence Award certificates will be emailed to the designated chapters.
