Following an invitation to all student chapters to participate in SPE’s Ambassador Lecturer Program, the SPE Student Chapter at Mining U. of Leoben, Austria, decided immediately that a visit from a young professional would be an important contribution to its already strong program.

The London Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) saw an increased interest in its activities in 2005, and it looks forward to repeating this performance in 2006. The focus for this year will be on increasing networking opportunities between ELP members and industry professionals through several events.

On 15 February 2006, the Ambassador Lecturer Pilot Program kicked off at Delft U. of Technology, Faculty of Earth Sciences. The event was hosted by Nicolaas Boot, President of the SPE Student Chapter Delft. About 25 graduates and PhD students attended the event.
