Registration is now open for the 7th Annual Switch Global Case Competition. The competition is Switch Energy Alliance's (SEA) premier international case competition. SEA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to energy education and expanding access to reliable energy around the world. Each year, university students tackle one of today’s most pressing challenges: delivering affordable, dependable, and sustainable energy to underserved communities.

Teams of three to four students compete virtually through four progressive rounds. The competition begins with an energy sector analysis, advances to the development of a comprehensive 10-year energy access plan and budget, continues with a semifinal video presentation, and culminates in a live final round on 5 December. Each team selects one of five focus countries and creates a realistic, evidence-based strategy to expand energy access.

Top-performing teams advance to the live finals to compete for a share of $50,000 in prize money and the opportunity to apply for an internship with SEA. Throughout the competition, teams receive guidance and mentorship from energy industry professionals.

The deadline to register is 11 September.
