  • Microgrids are no longer niche innovations—they have become a foundational component of modern energy infrastructure. Realizing their full potential will require targeted policy reform, clearer regulatory frameworks, and greater access to innovative financing models.
  • Natural gas has played a key role in reducing emissions and supporting renewable energy, but its continued use as a "bridge fuel" raises concerns about long-term climate impacts, especially due to methane leaks and potential carbon lock-in. Its future depends on context-specific policies, decarbonization incentives, and advances in carbon capture technologies.

  • Explore the California Carbon Allowance (CCA) Market's structure, economic and environmental impacts, and its potential for future growth.
  • In our daily lives we come into contact with porous media whether it be a pumice stone, a cup of coffee, or a pile of clothes. In this article, we present three everyday examples of how reservoir engineering skills can be utilized in porous media.
  • The oil and gas industry is one of the few examples on a global scale of how the need for further production improvement pushes professionals to customize existing models. Physical models are often reworked in order to expand their use in various industries. This article examines ten equations that help drive the petroleum industry.
  • The energy transition, one of the main topics of the decade, deals with the possibility of producing clean energy while minimizing the impact on people’s behavior. However, one indicator of the amount of energy we use is revealed by the number of lights turned on at night.
