The second edition of the SPE International Hydraulic Fracturing Technology Conference and Exhibition opened in Muscat, Oman, yesterday with more than 395 oil and gas professionals from 90 companies and 28 countries.

Geothermal and oil and gas industries have been learning from each other for decades and are currently well placed to transfer technology and practices that can accelerate the drilling and completion of geothermal wells, reduce costs, and revolutionize reservoir monitoring practices.

Winners of the international contests for the three academic divisions were announced during ATCE 2021.

During 7-14 August, SPE Balikpapan Section, in partnership with IATMI-Indonesia Tengah Timur Commissariat, held the Central & Eastern Indonesia Petroleum Summit (CEIPS 2021), the largest oil and gas event conducted in central and eastern Indonesia this year.
