Andrew Wheeler was appointed as deputy administrator of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). He is the co-leader of the energy and natural resources practice at the law firm Faegre Baker Daniels, and he has represented the coal producer Murray Energy since 2009. He had previously worked at the EPA from 1991 to 1995, and spent time at the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works.
Wheeler holds a BA in english and biology from Case Western Reserve University, and a JD from the Washington University in St. Louis School of Law.
