Danny Perez

Danny Perez, SPE, is a petroleum engineer with more than 10 years of industry experience in production optimization and artificial lift, currently working as a senior gas lift specialist and Oxy account manager at Flowco, Inc. He is a recognized expert in innovative artificial lift and production optimization technologies, as evidenced by his original invention about nontraditional downhole artificial lift systems employing hydraulically actuated peristaltic pumping mechanisms. During his time in the US, he has worked for consulting firms and oilfield service companies providing technical support to domestic and international customers. Prior to this, he worked at PDVSA in Venezuala as a production methods project engineer. In that role, he had the opportunity to work on multiple projects related to new artificial lift technologies including all forms of artificial lift systems an all types of reservoir fluids.. He holds BSc and MSc degrees in petroleum engineering from Universidad de Oriente, Venezuela, and Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, respectively. In addition to SPE, he is an active member of the Artificial Lift Research & Development Council (ALRDC).
