Farhan Khan

Farhan Khan serves as business readiness lead for Weatherford's Asia Geozone. His experience spans artificial lift Systems, digital technologies, drilling and production operations, and field execution. His professional interests include business transformation, digital innovation, leadership development, and energy transition.

An active SPE member since 2014, he has contributed for more than a decade to technical excellence, professional development, and industry engagement. He serves as the young professionals’ representative on the SPE Flow Measurement Technical Section Board and as program chair (Australasia) for the SPE Drilling Systems Advancement Technical Section. He is also the founder and inaugural president of the IADC Australasia Young Professionals Subcommittee, where he continues to serve as president and communications chair. Through his roles across SPE and IADC, he supports collaboration, mentorship, and meaningful professional development opportunities for emerging energy professionals.

He holds a master’s degree of professional engineering in petroleum engineering from Curtin University, a bachelor’s degree of engineering in petroleum engineering from AMET University, Chennai, India, and an MBA in oil and gas management.
