Hamad Al-Marri

Hamad Al-Marri, SPE, is vice president for gas development at Saudi Aramco, with a distinguished career spanning 30 years in the oil and gas sector. Throughout his tenure, he has amassed a diverse range of experiences in production, reservoir management, drilling, and facilities engineering. Al-Marri began his career as an apprentice at Chevron in 1990, followed by joining Saudi Aramco in 1991, and has since included various assignments in petroleum engineering, production engineering, operations, and facilities. He is the SPE’s Technical Director for Production and Operations and Projects, Facilities, and Construction from 2022 to 2025. Al-Marri holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and a master’s degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Tulsa.
