Mubadala Petroleum, an Abu Dhabi-based exploration and production company, appointed Bakheet Al Katheeri as its chief executive officer (CEO). Al Katheeri previously served as chief growth officer at the company, where he was responsible for new business development along with mergers and acquisitions. He was also Mubadala's chief operation officer (COO), overseeing operated and nonoperated assets. Before joining the company, he managed production and facilities engineering with the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).
Al Katheeri succeeds Musabbeh Al Kaabi, who will become head the petroleum and petrochemicals business of the Mubadala Investment Company.
