MGB Oilfield Solutions appointed Barry Ekstrand, SPE, as vice president of strategy and commercialization. Ekstrand has 40 years of experience in the energy services and supply sector, and served in senior executive leadership roles at large integrated energy service companies such as Halliburton, Weatherford, and Key Energy Services, as well as launched startup oilfield service and supply businesses. He holds a BS in chemical engineering from California State Polytechnic University at Pomona and an MBA from California State University at Bakersfield. Ekstrand is a Registered Professional Petroleum Engineer in California and holds eight patents.
