PlantSight from Siemens and Bentley Systems mirrors the physical plant through continuous surveys and reality modeling cloud services. Overlapping photographs and supplemental laser scans from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and ground-level imagery are processed to generate spatially classified and engineering-ready reality meshes, otherwise known as the plant’s digital context. On-site engineers can have accessible existing data and tool interfaces to ensure that as-operated changes are timely and accurately captured and managed.
