Murphy Oil has contracted GATE Energy to provide facility commissioning for the King’s Quay development in the US Gulf of Mexico (GOM). The project scope includes commissioning planning, onshore commissioning execution, and offshore commissioning/ready-for-startup services. King’s Quay is an 80,000 BOPD facility anchored by the Khaleesi/Mormont and Samurai developments, with first oil planned for the first half of 2022.
