Nuytco Research developed and built this hard metal, articulated dive suit to allow divers to operate safely down to a depth of 1,000 ft and still have dexterity and flexibility to perform delicate work. The EXOSUIT atmospheric diving system maintains a cabin pressure of the surface and still allows the suit to bend due to a unique rotary joint. Two redundant oxygen systems provide a total capacity of 50 hours, and a carbon dioxide scrubber also provides 50 hours. Four direct drive, magnetically coupled thrusters (expandable to 8), each 1.6 HP, provide added maneurverability. The minimum bend radius is 27 in., breaking strength is 7,200 lb.
