International Marine Contractors Association named Iain Grainger its new president and chairman of the board. Previously VP commercial at McDermott, he took over from Harke Jan Meek. Pieter Heerema from Allseas became the new VP. Grainger has a 35-year career in international offshore oil and gas engineering and construction, predominantly with major contractors including Brown & Root, Subsea7, and McDermott. He also has digital engineering PLM experience with Intergraph. He holds a BSc in civil engineering from Heriot-Watt University and an MBA from Warwick Business School. Grainger is a chartered engineer and a member of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology.
