A groundbreaking discovery offshore Guyana, the Liza field in Stabroek block will be produced using the Liza Destiny floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel. First oil from the field was produced in December.

The Liza Destiny FPSO is a converted very-large-crude-carrier named Tina. The conversion took place in Singapore where crews built and added 14 new processing units, which will enable the FPSO to process oil and offload it to a nearby tanker.

The FPSO is designed to produce up to 120,000 B/D of oil, with storage capacity of up to 1.6 million bbl. There are four drill centers with 17 wells—eight oil producing wells, six water injection wells, and three gas reinjection wells.
