TRC Companies, an engineering, environmental consulting, and construction management services firm, promoted Marc Faecher to the position of chief risk officer (CRO). He replaces Tom Bennet, who is retiring in September after 10 years with TRC, the last 7 as CRO.
Faecher previously served as a senior vice president at TRC and was responsible for the Transaction Advisory Services business and implementing the risk reduction strategy for the company’s portfolio of fixed price environmental projects. He oversaw the cleanup of more than 100 sites with a remediation value in excess of $650 million. He has more than 30 years of legal and technical experience in structuring transactions, risk management, environmental liability transfer, brownfield redevelopment, and insurance cost recovery.
Faecher will be in charge of TRC’s overall risk strategy, including the company’s insurance program and the complex project selection and oversight process. He will also oversee sustainability and quality efforts.
Prior to joining TRC in 2004, Faecher was a partner at Waters, McPherson, McNeill, a New Jersey law firm.
