Petrobras board of directors elected Nicolás Simone as digital transformation and innovation executive officer. Simone is a software and systems engineer from ORT University, Uruguay, with extensive international experience and knowledge in information technology (IT), digital transformation, cyber security, artificial intelligence, omnichannel, customer relationship management, innovation, sales, logistics, process reengineering, large projects, shared services center, and industry 4.0. Simone previously held leadership positions in large companies such as Itaú-Unibanco, Lojas Renner, ABInBev, and Grupo Boticário. He has published articles and given lectures and interviews about the journey for digital transformation, innovation, ecosystem creation, and how to transform traditional IT into value-adding IT. He has received CIO Executive Awards in the consumer goods category and retail.
