Chevron has awarded Subsea 7 with a “sizeable” contract for subsea installation services at the St. Malo field in the US Gulf of Mexico. The scope of work will include project management, engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of the multiphase pump system at the field. It will also include a 14-mi water injection flowline system and the water injection control system.
“The St. Malo multiphase pump system and water injection projects award is an important win for the Gulf of Mexico region,” Subsea 7 vice president Craig Broussard said in a statement. “It combines the utilization of our newest pipelay vessel, the Seven Vega, along with Subsea 7’s proven project execution capabilities.”
