Underwater inspection provider Welaptega promoted Tyler de Gier as general manager for global business. He has held business development, engineering, and project management roles at the company. The appointment follows the acquisition of Welaptega by Ashtead Technology in November. De Gier previously worked at Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board as advisor, offshore installations; operations, safety officer, specializing in production asset integrity management, decommissioning, and regulatory and standards development. De Gier holds a BEng degree in mechanical engineering.
