2022 Energy Startup Competition Awards Three New Firms

The 2022 Annual Technology Conference and Exhibition (ATCE) Startup Village Energy Startup Competition held this week has concluded with the selection of three young companies for the event’s top honors.

  • Best in Show  LongPath Technologies Inc., Boulder Colorado, USA. $25,000 in prize money.
  • Rising Star –  Arolytics, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. $5,000 in prize money.
  • Rising Star – Vidya Technology, Curitba, Paraná, Brazil. $5,000 in prize money.
  • People’s Choice – Vidya Technology. $5,000 in prize money.

Winners will be recognized during ATCE at the President’s Luncheon and the ATCE Award Ceremony on Monday, 3 October. Join the winners from 1300–1330 at the SPE Pavilion as they receive their awards and meet with Med Kamal, 2023 SPE President. The 2022 Startup Village program was held virtually on 20–21 September and featured competitors from around the globe. The free annual event offers emerging innovators and startup leaders the opportunity to join discussions, ask questions, and gain insights from industry and venture capital experts.

The ATCE Startup Village is a partnership between SPE and the Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship at Rice University. Launched in 2017, the Energy Startup Competition is a fast-paced competition showcasing emerging energy technology companies.

Competitors receive visibility among leaders in the upstream energy industry, recognition as technology leaders, the opportunity for cash prizes, networking with leading energy investors, and mentoring.

ATCE will be held from 3–5 October in Houston at the George R. Brown Convention Center. The industry conference has returned to an all in-person format this year. Click for more information and registration.
