The SPE Asset Management Technical Section (AMTS) has announced a partnership with the University of Houston. The collaboration will involve joint programs aimed at advancing asset management practices and supporting the development of energy professionals globally. This pilot program by AMTS is intended as a model to encourage other universities and institutions to work through SPE technical sections for specialized training for members.
The partnership will offer new micro-credentials to all SPE members, not limited to those in AMTS. Members from any geographic region can earn these micro-credentials to further their careers. Accumulated credits may be applied toward a master’s program from UH-Energy. SPE members are eligible for discounted rates for participation in these micro-credential courses.
Additionally, AMTS will coordinate with the University of Houston on webinars, symposiums, and student-focused activities connected to taxonomy.
AMTS announces and recommends the University of Houston’s Managing Non-Technical Risks in Energy micro-credential program. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to gain practical, immediately usable skills to identify, assess, and manage environmental and social risks that directly affect project success.
