Each year, the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) confers its highest honors and awards on members whose outstanding contributions to SPE and the petroleum industry merit special recognition.

SPE welcomes 99 members into the Legion of Honor, which observes 50 years of consecutive membership in the Society. Each honoree becomes dues exempt and receives a commemorative plaque marking the milestone. The honorees are listed below under their respective sections.

The annual OTC awards program recognizes 15 innovative technologies and showcases the latest advances in offshore exploration and production.
