Distinguished Lecturer

Maintaining a social license to operate is critical for the oil and gas industry to continue to provide energy for the world. Fernando Benalcazar recently completed his Distinguished Lecturer tour, during which he spoke on “Oil and Gas Operations—Integrating the Realities of the Social License.”

With speakers from a variety of disciplines and professions, this season’s Distinguished Lecturer topics focus on industry trends, challenges, and technology applications.

SPE has announced its roster of Distinguished Lecturers for the 2016-2017 season.

The 2013 SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE) in October was a good meeting for facilities engineers: It offered good technical papers, an entertaining dinner panel session, and excellent networking opportunities.
