Ganesh C. Thakur is a distinguished professor of petroleum engineering with the University of Houston and the 2012 SPE President. Among his other roles is that of the board treasurer for the Texas Academy of Medical, Engineering, Science, and Technology (TAMEST) which seeks to drive research, innovation, and business in Texas.
