KBR appointed Ann Pickard to its board of directors. Pickard has held several positions during a 15-year career at Shell, including her most recent position as executive vice president of the company’s Arctic operations. She spent 3 years as executive vice president of Shell’s exploration and production business and country chair of the company’s Australian operations, where she oversaw gas commercialization, manufacturing, chemicals, supply, distribution, retail, lubricants, trading, shipping, and alternative energy. She joined Shell in 2000 after an 11-year tenure with Mobil prior to its merger with Exxon. In November, she announced her plans to retire from the company. She holds a BA from the University of California, San Diego, and an MA from the University of Pennsylvania.
