Jennifer Presley
Jennifer Presley is a former senior technology editor for SPE's Journal of Petroleum Technology. She has been a communications specialist and editor for 23 years, most of which have been spent covering the upstream oil and gas industry. Jennifer also spent more than 5 years supporting the US Methane Hydrate Research & Development Project supported by the US Department of Energy's National Energy Technology Laboratory. She also worked as a ship-based publication specialist for the Integrated Ocean Drilling Program, serving on-board the riserless drillship R/V JOIDES Resolution. Based in Houston, Presley reports on new trends, oilfield technology applications, and the energy transition. Areas of special focus include advancements in drilling, completions, and production technologies; water management; and the digital transformation. She holds a BA in English, with an emphasis on technical and professional writing, from Texas A&M University.
