Mohammad Aljubran

PhD Candidate Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability

Mohammad Aljubran, SPE, is a PhD candidate in energy science and engineering, working with Roland Horne, PhD, at the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability. His PhD research is focused on the optimization of geothermal power and energy storage techno-economics in decarbonized grids using reinforcement learning algorithms. Aljubran has 4 years of professional experience across different roles (e.g., computational researcher, data scientist). He also has a prolific publication record with over 35 journal and conference articles, and four granted patents.

  • Geothermal energy’s advantages make it popular across multiple sectors, from residential to industrial applications. Primary applications, namely electricity, direct use, and ground source heat pumps, offer diverse energy sources. Details of these and some unconventional applications are discussed.
