C-Innovation (C-I), an affiliate of Edison Chouest Offshore (ECO), has formed a turnkey subsea projects group based in ECO’s Houston office.
C-I’s in-house project management team provides engineering support, procedure development and review, project execution, and final reporting requirements. The company said that with access to ECO’s inventory of mission-specific vessels, it provides flexibility in matching and scheduling of assets, delivering savings to the customer. The group of companies also includes Chouest’s port facilities, a logistics company, tank cleaning services, and shipyards and dry docks located throughout the US Gulf of Mexico (GOM) and Brazil. With corporate headquarters in Mandeville, Louisiana, C-I’s ROV capabilities will provide support to subsea construction projects, as well as drilling, intervention, maintenance, and heavy-lift assignments.
ECO announced a 30-month agreement with BP in April 2017, extending an 8-year alliance, to provide vessel services, multi-service terminal facilities in Louisiana’s Port Fourchon, logistics coordination, and expediting and tracking cargo movement. The agreement included a new 312-ft new-generation, purpose-built platform supply vessel specifically designed for delivery of supplies to BP’s GOM production platforms.
Also last April, C-Innovation, Halliburton, and Trendsetter Engineering announced the formation of a strategic alliance to provide GOM customers with technologically advanced, integrated offshore well intervention packages. Chouset’s newest vessel at the time, Island Venture, was outfitted with equipment from all three companies.
