GC Rieber Shipping CEO Christian Wilhelm Berg resigned from his position effective 14 Sept in order to pursue other opportunities through his wholly owned company, Bech Offshore. Bech was established in 2017 to initiate investments of distressed offshore assets and off third-part owners with commercial management and consultancy services. It was acquired by and integrated into CG Rieber when Berg started as CEO last year, but it will not become an independent company. Berg has 20 years of experience in oilfield services, serving in various top management positions. He holds a bachelor’s degree in maritime studies from Vestfold University and an executive MBA in shipping and logistics from Copenhagen Business School.
