CLOV Tieback Goes Onstream Offshore Angola

TotalEnergies, operator of Block 17 in Angola, has begun production from the CLOV Phase 2 project, connecting to the existing CLOV FPSO. The tieback project is expected to reach a production of 40,000 BOED in mid-2022.

Located about 140 km from the Angolan coast, in water depths from 1100 to 1400 m, the CLOV Phase 2 resources are estimated at around 55 million BOE.

Block 17 is operated by TotalEnergies with a 38% stake, Equinor (22.16%), ExxonMobil (19%), BP Exploration Angola Ltd. (15.84%), and Sonangol P&P (5%). The contractor group operates four FPSOs in the main production areas of the block: Girassol, Dalia, Pazflor, and CLOV.
