Freese and Nichols, an engineering/architecture consulting firm, added Dan McKenzie as oil and gas group manager and practice leader, based in its Dallas office. He has spent almost 4 decades involved in gas processing, treating, gathering, compression design, construction, operation, and optimization. He most recently was a regional engineering manager for a large firm engaged in gas gathering, treating, processing, and distribution, and in crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquid transportation. McKenzie has held leadership roles with the Gas Processors Association, North Texas Gas Processors Association, Instrument Society of America, and Pipe Liners Club of Tulsa. He holds a BS in chemical engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
