McDermott named Ian Prescott as vice president, Asia, effective 8 January. Prior to his appointment, Prescott was senior vice president and director of Asia Pacific for SNC-Lavalin, and he also served as the managing director, general manager, and later CEO of Global Process Systems. He has held leadership positions with PAE and Aker. Prescott has more than 28 years of operational, marketing, and business unit experience for production and processing solutions in the upstream oil and gas sector, including engineering and fabrication.
Prescott holds an MBA from Bond University in Australia and a bachelor's degree in instrumentation control engineering (honors) from the University of Teeside.
