SpotSee, a global internet of things (IoT) connectivity platform and parent company of logistics monitoring brands, appointed Jan Van Niekerk as the company’s vice president of engineering and innovation. Van Niekerk has more than 20 years of experience in the technical creation, implementation, and management of tracking technologies including radio frequency identification (RFID), the cloud, and IoT. Before joining SpotSee, he was the chief technical officer for RF Ops. He has also served as an RFID system designer at Maxim Integrated/Intelleflex, and as an applications manager at Microchip Technology.
