Stena Drilling recently had some interesting visitors to the moonpool of its Stena Forth drillship in Peru. The creatures have been identified as South American sea nettle (chrysaora plocamia), a species of jellyfish.
The drillship is a harsh environment, dynamically positioned DP Class 3 capable of drilling in water depths up to 10,000 ft using 18 3/4-in.–15,000 psi Cameron TL blowout preventer and Cameron load king riser.
