Baker Hughes, a GE company (BHGE), elected Lorenzo Simonelli as chairman of the BHGE board. Simonelli will continue in his current role as president and CEO, which he has held since the combination of Baker Hughes and GE Oil and Gas on 3 July. Before joining GE Oil and Gas, Simonelli was president and CEO of GE Transportation. He has also served as CFO Americas for GE Consumer and Industrial, as well as general manager of product management for GE Appliances, Lighting, Electrical Distribution, and Motors.
Simonelli holds a degree in business and economics from Cardiff University in South Wales.
