Penn Virginia, an independent oil and gas company based primarily in the Eagle Ford, announced the resignation of Marc McCarthy from its board of directors. McCarthy resigned on 6 March due to increased demands of his other professional commitments. He is currently a partner at Wexford Capital, focusing on the company’s private and public energy investments. He joined Wexford in 2008. Before that, he worked at Bear Stearns, ultimately attaining the position of senior managing director within its global equity research development focused on oil and gas. From 1994 to 1997, he worked for Prudential Securities as an equity research associate in oil and gas.
McCarthy holds a BA in economics from Tufts University.
