InterMoor named Martin Kobiela as president. He replaces Tom Fulton, who takes over the new global role of chief technology officer for InterMoor. These two appointments follow upon the nomination of new global CEO Mark Jones at the end of last year. Kobiela, previously regional president for InterMoor Asia Pacific, had the overall responsibility for developing and managing InterMoor's business in Asia. A chartered engineer, Kobiela has over 20 years’ experience in the marine and oil and gas industries. A registered professional engineer, he has been involved with research, development, and implementation of new mooring technology over his 30 years’ career. As president of the US entity, he has been leading InterMoor into digitalization by applying new technologies to its mooring integrity solutions and by spearheading the development of a new acoustic release mooring connector, Inter-M Release, which was unveiled earlier this year.
