Nigel Hearne has been named managing director of Chevron’s Australasia business unit (ABU). Hearne joined Texaco in 1989, prior to its merger with Chevron, and served as operations manager for the Pembroke refinery in the United Kingdom and for Chevron’s refinery in El Segundo, California, before becoming vice president of strategy for the company’s downstream strategy, technology, and commercial integration business in 2010. In 2011, Hearne became general manager of the company’s refinery in Richmond, California. He also served as vice president of Appalachian-Michigan business unit before his appointment as deputy managing director of the ABU in January.
