BP awarded service provider Petrofac a 3-year extension to its existing maintenance contract alongside a new 4-year metering contract. The metering services contract includes on and offshore consulting and support services, with Petrofac continuing its efforts for improvements and efficiencies for BP.
Under the terms of the maintenance agreement, Petrofac added it will continue providing campaign inspection and maintenance services on the operator’s North Sea assets.
The two companies worked together in 2019 to prove new execution techniques where Petrofac digitalized all forms of campaign maintenance and inspection activity - achieving significant productivity gains compared to industry standards – and continues to work with BP to extend the benefits of this approach to other applications.
