With only around 30 installations worldwide, ADNOC’s onshore team has seen enough results from its first “fishbone” stimulation to embark on a 10-well program that will decide a full development scheme.

The $20.7-billion agreement is the single-largest energy infrastructure investment in the region.

Alan Nelson is not only the new chief technology officer at ADNOC, he is the company’s first person to hold the title at the integrated oil company.

Penspen will also carry out engineering services on the Zirku Island plant.
