SPE’s Aberdeen section has chosen the finalists for this year’s Offshore Achievement Awards, which will take place 22 March at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.

Top industry professionals will be honored this week for their significant contributions to the oil and gas industry.

Winners of the 2017 SPE International Awards are announced. Recipients will be recognized during the Annual Reception and Banquet at the SPE ATCE in San Antonio.

Oil and Gas UK and Step Change in Safety announced the Offshore Safety Award winners on August 23.

The Offshore Technology Conference selected 15 new technologies for its 2017 Spotlight on New Technology Awards. The annual awards program recognizes innovative technologies and allows com­panies to showcase the latest advances in offshore exploration and production.

The Offshore Technology Conference to be held from 1–4 May at NRG Park in Houston will present an especially timely occasion for worldwide energy professionals to chart the way ahead.

The American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineers (AIME) is the parent organization of SPE. AIME fulfills its legacy by supporting member societies’ programs and awards, and by documenting the history of the industries and technologies.

Total’s Laggan Tormore project claimed the International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) Excellence in Project Integration Award at the 10th IPTC in Bangkok, Thailand.

Six more will join the elite group of members who have attained the milestone of reviewing 100 papers.
